The Kebab Factory

Kebab 1

On a recent trip to Megamall, Irene and I decided try something that our daughter would not want to eat. I been seeing this place on our numerous visits to HK Choi, and saw the perfect time to try it.

Opening up the menu, I was surprised that it was more of a mix of Indian and middle eastern food, than just a kebab place. The place was nicely decorated, with comfortable chairs and large tables and best of all no kitschy Persian design element

Kebab 3

We started off the meal with Potato Tikki, potato croquette with tomato and onion pickle. It is supposedly one of the most popular street foods in northern India. Knowing me and my love for potato, I could not resist ordering this. I really liked this with the pickle on top so that you can taste the contrast of the flavor and textures of the hot crispy croquette against the cold and soft pickles. Definitely will order this again.

Kebab 2

Irene ordered Roti Bread, puffed bread with curry sauce. Irene has been wanting to eat Roti again since our last trip to Singapore, where my cousin ordered it for us to try. Both of us loved their version of Roti, it was slightly sweet and chewy bread with the flavorful curry dip, with just the right amount of spiciness.

Kebab 4

I could not resist ordering Shiskebab when I saw it. Remembering the word from movies I saw, I was definitely curious what it was. It was just 9 pieces of lamb marinated in yogurt, the taste was good but the lamb was a little tough and quite pricey too at P380.

Kebab 5

Irene ordered her usual Lamb kebab, which was very very good from the little taste I had. I think I should have ordered this instead of the Shiskebab. Surprisingly, they do not include pita bread nor rice with the kebabs so had to make extra orders of pita to complement our kebabs.

We will definitely be back here but I will stay away from the Shiskebab next time.

  2. I've only dined in The Kebab Factory once but it's definitely one of my faves. How could I have missed the potato tikki? I'll try it soon!

  3. Madz,
The potato tikki is a new addition to the menu, I think that's why you missed it.
