Foodie Club Event - Yoggle

Yoggle 1

Yoggle - The yogurt that makes you giggle. Although the correct pronunciation of the word should be yaggle since since the o is not really an o but a German letter.

With a tag line like that, you can't help wonder whats in store once you enter the funky store. I love the decor and vibe of the place.

We got an invite from my friend Jun Sy, too bad he could not be there during our visit. His brother in law, Anderson Tan, took up the cudgels in welcoming the club to their store. He explained they have been only open 2 weeks and that all their yogurt mixes are from the US. He also said that they dispose of all leftover frozen yogurt every night since food safety is their priority.

They have 8 available flavors everyday including the plain tart and they plan to change the variations every 2 weeks. They are even working with their supplier to come up with new flavors including the Philippine mango (watch for this).

The flavors available that night were
  • Plain tart
  • Strawberry
  • Kiwi
  • Banana
  • Taro
  • Watermelon
  • Vanilla
  • Mocha Cappuccino
Yoggle is a do it yourself yogurt place, you get a cup from the side and proceed to fill it with whichever flavor you want. Multiple flavors can be combined in a single cup. On to the toppings counter, there an array of nuts, cookie, fruits and chocolate to be added. All this is then weighed at the payment area, the price per ounce is P20, whatever you put into your cup, be it yogurt or toppings.

I got to try 3 flavors only namely plain tart, watermelon and banana. I loved the banana and watermelon but found the plain tart a little too tart for my taste. There will be no pictures of my orders since I'm partial to plain yogurt and they do not look good in pictures. Instead, I will share some of the concoctions of fellow club members.
