Serenitea is a tea place, more specifically a pearl milk tea place. Their process is different than other milk tea places since they make them as you order. Each order has tea processed through an espresso machine before being shaken into the final product. Also sugar levels can be customized to one's preference from no sugar to full sugar.
When I first tried out Serenitea I was disappointed with what I had ordered due to the overly complicated choices on the menu. I had wanted to try the place after reading it in a magazine or online. I had wanted to like it because we were addicted to Quickly's Red Milk Tea at that time.
A few months after that, Fran kept raving about it in Plurk; I decided to ask her for recommendations on what drinks to get. We went back again armed with Fran's suggestions and the rest is history. Since then, we have not bought a single order of Quickly's Red Milk Tea. The only thing better at Quickly is their pearls are a little bigger.
Our standard order are these two, Hokkaido and Okinawa. You can put two servings of sinkers for every large order of milk tea. You can choose from coffee jelly, big and small pearls, crystals, qq (mix of pearls and crystals),egg pudding, grass jelly and aloe bits. As you can see we picked 2 servings of pearls and added an extra order more. Even though in the menu, the choices for sugar levels are only from 0 to 100%, Irene asked them to put 150% sugar level to her Okinawa drink (left side on the picture).
We are trying to limit our consumption of Serenitea because we've been trying to lose weight and sticking mostly to water. Imagine, during the summer months, we were at the store almost every other day getting our fix. Next time I will talk about some of the snacks they have there.
