Cheese Curry Cup Noodle

I've been eating Nissin Seafood Cup Noodles for many years already, this is not the same as the locally produced one. These are from Japan but readily available in all Japanese stores as well as some big supermarkets. It is also a staple "pasalubong" from relatives who work in Japan, I just can't fathom why.

I've also tried Curry Cup Noodle from the same company also, but on a recent trip to Chotostop, I discovered Cheese Curry Cup Noodle (P75). I bought one even though I'm not a cheese lover because I was super curious about it.

The mascot is so funny too, with a block of cheese as its head. I wonder if they call him Cheese-man.As with all cup noodles, it just takes 3 minutes to cook it after poring in hot water and replacing the cover.

Opening it up after three minutes, I could see bits and pieces of cheese floating around with the freeze dried meat. The curry flavor is very evident in every strand of the noodle. The cheese adds a layer of creaminess to the soup since I mixed everything up before eating. Although this was good, I still prefer the Seafood or just the plain Curry one.

Subsequent trips to Chotostop has not produced a new sighting of this elusive variant. For those cheese lovers, I suggest you be on the look out for this.

  1. Now I want cup noodles in curry, seafood and curry cheese flavor... where do you buy your stock again? all the way in Makati or there's a Japanese store near Ortigas?

By the way, Chris is the Cheese Man. Represent!
