Upon entering the open aired, modestly decorated restaurant, the waiters will usher you to an area where you choose what kinds of bbq you want.
Our choices before being listed down by the waitress, we decided to get just a stick each of what caught our eye to be able to try out as many things as possible.
After our tray is taken by the waitress, our food is then grilled immediately in front of us. We proceeded to the waiting plastic chairs and tables, oh was I excited. (hahaha)
The star of the meal was Dalupapa (P35), cuttlefish. It was super tender and grilled just right. I definitely order a couple of sticks of this on my next visit here.
Liempo (P75) was good and I'd rank it second only to Manang's liempo. Its marinade just had enough sweetness to balance the saltiness of the soy sauce.
Dried Squid (P60) is something that will always draw me to it.The dried squid is very flavorful, with the smoky flavor locked into the chewy meat. I just love slowly chewing on the pieces, each bite releasing the flavors within.
The Chorizo (P15) was good but the Pork barbeque (P15) did not taste good to me.
Curiously the Chicken BBQ (P60), which used the same marinade as the pork bbq, tasted much better.
Don't let the sparsely decorated surroundings and open air locale stop you from enjoying the wonderful grilled delights awaiting you.
