Manila Bulletin in 3D and more

Manila Bulletin started way back in 1900 publishing in black and white then moved on to full color printing in the mid-90s. I previously thought of the Manila Bulletin as a old fashioned newspaper more popularly know for its classified ads on Sundays.

Manila Bulletin introduced to the country's first 3d newspaper on September 24, 2010, you read right 3D. After having a view at a launch party they held to celebrate the 3D newspaper as well as another surprise "application".

The event was hosted by Vince Golangco and Hannah Villasis and held at Picasso Serviced Residences in Salcedo Village, Makati.

I have to admit its the first time I've seen the paper in 3D and I was really surprised how it looked and without the need for the fancy glasses the cinemas let us use. Its just the plain old school card board glasses with foil paper anyone can make at home. All the pictures and advertisement especially for movies come alive.

I admit, I love reading newspapers on a lazy morning with a frothing cup or coffee, now I'll be reading it with the pictures coming alive.

On to the next surprise "application" that was revealed.

The Manila Bulletin now has its own iPad application, Manila Bulletin Mobile. This will allow iPad users to access Manila Bulletin wherever they are and read it whenever they want to. iPhone users, don't worry, they are already working on a version that is compatible with your gadgets. The e-paper can also be accessed at the Manila Bulletin webpage. I actually like the ability to read the news digitally since it would be better for the environment but sometimes I still want to feel and hear the rustling of the paper.
