The Chapel of Saint Joseph the Worker or more popularly know as "The Church of the Angry Christ" is located inside the Victorias Milling Comapny (VMC) compound in Victorias City, about 34 km. away from Bacolod City. It was built in 1950 to serve the needs of all the people working and living inside the compound.

The main draw of the chapel is the wall sized mural of a seated Christ with large outstretched arms being received by two giant orange hands. It is highly unique as opposed to the more common depiction of a crucified Christ. The mural was painted by Alfonso Ossorio, son of Don Miguel Ossorio, the founder of VMC. The mural use solid, vibrant colors and bold strokes, which really appealed to me. On one side of the mural are Joseph and Mary, while the other side is a depiction of Moses standing with St. Joseph the Evangelist.
I really enjoyed the trip to see this place and I highly recommend a side trip here when visiting Bacolod.
