I had previously talked about The Cookie Jar's products here, this time they had some new creations, French macarons and Lemon Cream cheese bars.
The lemon cream cheese bars are a twist on the classic lemon squares due to the added layers of cream cheese inside giving it a less tart taste. The bars were soft and chewy and quite addicting since its not too sour.This would be perfect snack with a cup of coffee or tea.
The French macarons were surprisingly not too sweet. The flavors included in the box were Red Velvet, Chocolate, Buttercream and Choco late Peanut Butter. Lauren immediately zeroed in on the chocolate flavored one, but commented the it was quite too big to bite for her.I had a taste of the buttercream one and like the initial airy bite then the chewiness that follows with the creaminess from the filling mixed in.
