Taking on the KFC Tower Burger

I first heard about the KFC Tower Burger on Facebook and was quite intrigued since I love hash browns. A couple of weeks passed and I was still not able to try it. What's even worse is the big billboard on EDSA enticing me every time I passed through.

Finally, I had enough and scheduled a trip to the KFC branch near us to finally try it out. Irene and I each ordered one, both of us curious to try what everyone was talking about. 

The box was quite large, all black and with the ingredients emblazoned on the side. I was stoked to try it out.

I opened it up, what was inside was a little underwhelming, it was about half of the box and no where near as impressive as the image of the Tower Burger. The image had me imagining that I had to strain to bite into the Tower burger, normal biting would suffice.

The one who made the burger even mixed up the order of the ingredients, with the hash brown taking the bottom so the cheese melted on top of it instead of the chicken fillet. I fell that branch really made a mess of building up the Tower burger, the order should have been maintained. I don't think that the order of the ingredients in a Big Mac would be changed.

I found the overall taste of the Tower Burger, nothing special and would not order it in the future. Another not good thing, was that both our hash browns were overcooked. A far cry from the perfect hash brown of McDonald's. This is the 2nd straight super hyped KFC burger I was disappointed with, the first being the Double Down.


If I wanted a burger at KFC, I'll stick with the Zinger or just have Original Recipe Fried Chciken instead.
