September 30 is a special day in the calendar of McDonald's Philippines as it marks the date when they opened their first branch, Morayta, in the Philippines. This year is extra special, since its their 30th Anniversary so they are doing something by reopening 4 stores simultaneously, each with its own look.
The golden scissors have been laid out, to cut the ribbons reopening the golden arches at 8am, with free Big Macs to the 1st 100 customers.

The Makati Cinema Square branch design scheme is called Form, neutral looking with subdued color splashes.
I got a chance to do a sneak peek tour of this branch with Ronald McDonald leading the way. Ronald also shared some factoids along the way.
- Grimace, Ronald's best friend, represents Desserts and not a single product.
- Birdy, represents Breakfast.
A new addition all over the store is their new Tidyman logo lording it over their waste disposal areas. The figure is so simple and fun looking, even I with my severely limited drawing abilities can copy it.
McDonald's Greenhills, incidentally the first branch with drive thru opened in the Philippines, boasts a more fun design with seating zones, and bright splashes of color with the LIM (Less is more) design scheme.
The Quezon Ave. branch's Allegro Classic design is highlighted by the big bulls eyes in different colors.
The North Avenue branch, on the other hand, looks more like a coffee shop than what you would expect a fast food joint to. The Allegro Urban theme uses darker shades with only small pockets of color, making it more adult looking.
So check out these 4 Anniversary stores and get to see the newly designed stores for yourselves.

Wow, they all look great and classy.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I always thought Grimace was a milkshake. That's what the cashier said anyway. Haha!
Snippet: "all photos with watermark are from McDonald's Philippines" -- maybe you meant without watermark?
ReplyDelete@Rowena,
ReplyDeleteThanks, edited it already.
Do they serve the Angus Burger?
ReplyDeleteWe unfortunately don't have Angus burgers in Mcdonald's Philippines.
