Burger Company is a fairly new burger shop in the Scout/Timog area in Quezon City. It is actually a reborn Boulevard Diner, one of our favorite burger shops before. The same man behind the kitchen is still at it, creating unique burger combinations. They actually have an old menu to show regulars their favorites are still there, just under a new name. The Burger Boss knew our fondness for their burgers so he invited us and the KTG to check out the place.
Burger Company is located at the corner of Scout Reyes and Mother Ignacia. The frontage is bright and playful with an inviting mural and best of all, lots of parking spaces. Boulevard Diner had a big problem before, having only a single parking space.
Located beside the entrance is their charcoal briquette griller which gives all their burgers a nice flavor.
Interiors are fairly simple with the biggest draw is this post it wall and game board depository. These games are from one of the partners own collection and can be borrowed by interested diners to play with inside the store. The post it notes that diners leave has been such a hit that they decided to encased some of them in plastic and attached it to the ceiling.
Start off your meal with some of these bright and colorful Nachos Overload (P290/party). They’ve topped those purple and pink nachos with fresh salsa, ground beef, sour cream and cheese sauce. They thoughtfully layered them layered them in the middle also so those who come late still have some toppings.
For flavored fries, I’d recommend the Parmesan Fries (P100/sharing), its crispy and has a healthy coating of parmesan powder that will have you licking your fingers. If you prefer things spicy then you’ll enjoy the Buffalo Trax (P110/sharing), crisscut fries tossed in cayenne pepper and paprika.
The Fries Overload (P160/sharing) should be a hit for cheese and bacon lovers. Thick cut fries topped with cheese, bacon and ground beef.
Want something spicier then you should get an order of the Bacon Jalapeno Fritters (P215/sharing). Jalapeno peppers stuffed with cream cheese, breaded then wrapped in bacon and deep fried.
I had a little bite of this and was immediately reaching for some milk shakes to put out the fire in my tongue. They serve thick and cold Choc-nut, Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry Milkshakes (P125).
Since Irene does not eat beef, she always orders either the chicken burger when we go to a burger joint. Burger Company has 8 chicken burger combinations, which is quite a lot. She decided on the Cajun Chicken and Blues (P189/single). A char grilled chicken breast coated in cajun spices with lettuce, tomato, cheese, bacon and smothered in Gorgonzola dressing. Irene was happy and quite full with her chicken burger.
The Burger Boss knows my fondness for burgers with pineapple, so he made sure I tried the Hawaii Five-O (P215), a souped up Larry Lanai. 1/3 pound Certified Angus beef patty with grilled and seasoned pineapple, cheese, red onions, lettuce, tomato, cheese and finished off with chipotle aioli sauce. This reincarnation had some spicy and sweet flavors complementing the meaty taste and texture of the burger.
Here are some of the burgers my companion ordered.
Sha-Zam has been renamed as Bacon and Egg (P205/single) with a fried egg, bacon and shoestring potatoes.
Bacon and Cheese (P289/double). Every double patty burger comes with a bad-ass knife stuck it the middle to keep the burger from falling apart.
BBQ Slaw Burger (P315/double) has cheese, bacon, bbq sauce and coleslaw.
The previously named Volcanic Viktor makes a come back as The Volcano (P215/single).
P.B. and J. (P215) has bacon, bacon jam, homemade peanut butter and Louisiana bbq sauce.
Their previous best seller is still here, the Gorgonzola and Mushroom Burger (P199/single) with sauteed oyster mushroom and Gorgonzola dressing.
Green Chile and Sour Cream (P199). Just looking at the picture and its making my tongue burn.
Burger Company also serves a plethora of NY Buffalo Wings (P135/6pcs., P195/10 pcs., P260/14pcs.) available with your choice of sauce from the 13 available ones.
I was surprised to find out they also serve a Rib Eye Steak (P350). 8 oz. of USDA choice rib eye with roasted garlic mashed potatoes and buttered vegetables.
