O’sonho means “dream” in Portuguese, an apt name because it was the owners; Nik and Cris Barancik, dream to open up a Portuguese restaurant after getting a taste of it during their travels I’m been meaning to try this place for so long and was glad to have gotten an invite to taste the offering of this restaurant last week.
We started the meal with Chourico sisig, a twist on the Filipino classic with added chorizo and pork rind. I’m not really a fan of sisig but I liked this dish because of the chorizo. Picado, their version of salpicado, came next. I liked this dish but found it to be on the expensive side at around P300 for a moderate amount of beef. Rounding out the appetizers was Cerveza battered fish and chips; this dish did not taste anything special for me, just ordinary fish and chips.
We are definitely going to be coming back here and if ever you guys are in the area give them a try and taste the dream. The also have another branch located at20 Jupiter St.,Makati.
