Acacia Hotel Manila is a full service hotel in the Filinvest Corporate City, Alabang. I hardly ever go to Alabang since its pretty far but I really love the laid back feel of the place. The hotel is well situated between the Alabang Town Center and Festival Supermall, as well as having a supermarket and other dining option in the area.
The main lobby of Acacia Hotel is facing an inside street but it hardly makes the predominantly glass facade less impressive. The parking area is very spacious and easy to navigate.
A short elevator ride (up to the 3rd floor only) and you’ll get to the check in counter, with a new modern and more personal feel to it. I’m glad hotels are moving to this kind of design, the old setup is just too clunky.
A separate elevator system serves the guest bedrooms from the 4th floor up. You also need to tap your key before you can select the floors, extra bit of good security.
Our room had a nice and comfy king sized bed, well enough space for the three of us to have a restful and long sleep. The eco saving card was also nicely shaped as a pillow. A 40 inch LCD is provided with a swivel arm so you can watch on the couch or the bed. Wi-Fi in the room is decent but not really super fast.
The bathroom is clean, spacious and well laid out. There’s a separate shower and tub area. The toiletries are also pretty and nice and has everything you might need.
We went out for dinner and when we came back to the room, small plates of assorted pastries was placed on our table (good touch).
Since it was Christmas season, the whole lobby was decked out for the holidays with a
big gigantic tree as well as a gingerbread house, all twinkly and bright.
I love the seat upholstery of the lobby chairs but looking at this picture now, the floor carpet should have been of a less busy design to balance it out.
The 3rd floor house the gym, pool, jacuzzi and an outdoor party area. The pool was a bit small, suitable for lapping only so Lauren and Irene just went and used the jacuzzi, with a great view of Alabang.
Our overnight trip to Alabang was really relaxing, we also got to visit the Saint James Bazaar as well as walk around the Alabang Town Center, one of my favorite malls.
Acacia Hotel Manila is a really nice place to stat in Alabang, nicely near both Festival Supermall and Alabang Town Center as well as having a number of food establishment across it. Service was excellent, each staff member we met was always very helpful and had a smile on.
