Tittos Latin BBQ and Brew is a lively, colorful place that specializes in comfort food given a Latin American twist. The place is a two floor structure lots of bright murals and interesting details all round. The menu features familiar dishes with injection of things you would not expect like their Kare kare burrito.
This is al fresco area for parties who want to smoke or feel the cool night air. This area features another colorful mural for more of the Latin American feel.
This is the most interesting seating area for me. It might be hard to get in and out but it you’ll look cool seated inside this alcove booth.
Nachos El Gigante (P375). Tortilla chips topped with barbacoa, salsa, jalapenos, three cheeses, Mexican crema, lettuce and chimichurri. They spread out the toppings, sauces and cheese in between the chips so it’s not all concentrated on top. Toppings are also generous so there’s a good amount of it in every chip you get. Fun sharing to start your meal with a bottle of beer or a glass of cocktail.
Elote (P195). Char grilled corn smeared with smoked paprika butter, sprinkled with tamarind spice mayo lime and crumbled queso fresco. Plus points because they can shred it for you. Well seasoned but the sweet corn flavor is still evident, the lime gives a nice zesty pop and rounds the flavor together.
Tittos Wings (P245). Chicken wings coated in chipotle bbq glaze and served with blue cheese crema. The glaze has just the right amount of spice for me with light sweetness. If you still find it too spicy like Irene, a light dip in the crema will solve that.
Salted Egg Shrimp tacos (P145). Crispy shrimps coated in salted egg sauce with curry leaves and slaw. The de riguer ingredient of the moment is used well with the coated having a food amount of flavor while still maintaining the crunch of the batter.
Beef Barbacoa Taco (P145). Beef belly, with chimichurri, pico de gallo, pickled onion, slaw and tortilla chips on a black tortilla. I could not detect the flavor from the tortilla but it serves as a good eye catching element. Nice contrasting textures with the soft belly and the crunchiness of the tortilla chips and the crisp slaw.
Costillitas (P310). Cuban baby back ribs slathered with house bbq sauce served with veggies and one side dish.
18 Hours Gaucho Steak (P480). Grilled hanger steak served with chimichurri and crispy onion plus a side of your choice.
Paella Del Carne (P395/medio, P680/grande). Grilled chicken inasal, chorigo with sofrito, eggs, beans and peas. I loved the chicken inasal on top but the paella itself was ordinary.
Ube Churros (P215). Ube churros topped with white chocolate frosting and drizzled with caramel and chocolate sauce. You can see the nice purple batter peeking out behind the dark brown crust. I found the ube flavor a little on the light side but stronger than usual ube based desserts.
The back part of the Tittos property hides a surprise behind this retro soft drink machine door. Decipher the code to open and step into RM-16, a cool hidden bar.
You can book the whole place for a private party and they will customize door code combination just for you. How cool is that.
Tittos Latin BBQ and Brew is a great place to unwind after a hard day at work or a rocking adventure weekend. Food and drinks are reasonably priced with generous servings amidst a fun and lively ambiance.
