It’s been more than two years since we’ve stayed at Acacia Hotel Manila. This time around we were going to be celebrating Jane’s birthday weekend. Great welcome from the hotel with a elephant shaped towel, welcome letter plus a small cake.
They call their bed the dream bed and trust me once you see it, you’ll be tempted to just lie down and forget everything. I have not had that much sleep in a long, long time. I had to peel myself from the bed to have meals.
They provided an extra bed for Lauren so we had the big bed all to ourselves. There’s the usual complimentary tea and coffee corner with some fruits. A tv is hung on the wall, I hardly watch cable tv except during a staycation. I found the quirky reality shows really interesting especially Extreme Cheapskates.
Slide the curtains open and bathe in this relaxing view.
I was surprised to find out our room had a oven and a medium sized ref, toaster and a microwave. The microwave is placed in a pretty inaccessible space or maybe it’s just because I’m not that big of stature.
Lauren automatically checks out the toilet to see if they have a tub and came out with a smile. She immediately scheduled her alone time with the tub.
A few minutes after we got to our room, we heard a little knock on our door. This is what greeted me, it was Acacia Hotel’s pillow concierge. They bring with them a choice of different pillows suited to your tastes. I picked the one with aromatherapy. After we picked our pillow, two masseuses gave us head and shoulder massages that was so good it lulled me to sleep sitting on the chair.
The pool at Acacia Hotel is not the biggest one but it’s adequate. The big draw is the jacuzzi with a view, lie back and watch the day go by in style.
What a start to Queen Jane’s birthday weekend. More of our adventures to follow.
Looking for place to escape to? The Acacia Hotel Manila in Alabang has a wonderful bed and pillow picks too. The area around the hotel has grown also, with fastfood restos across the hotel, a full supermarket beside and the Commerce Center on the other side with their many restaurants and brand spanking new cinemas.

I can’t wait for those.
The bedroom could certainly use a little more design but about the bed, damn I wish I had one for myself :)
