Alba Restaurante Espanol Opens in Estancia Mall

May 1, 2019 by Richard

Alba Restorante Espanol opens their first branch in 5 years, located at the 2nd floor of Estancia Mall in Capitol Commons. They have other branches in Makati, Alabang, Mall of Asia and Tomas Morato. I’ve been to the Tomas Morato branch countless time but parking there is a big problem unlike here.

The restaurant is big, capable of seating over 170 diners and has a fully stocked bar as well as a deli, where you can bring home their home made sausages and cured meats.

Their function area is perfect for meetings, launches or small parties since the space is flexible.

The buffet spread at Alba is not the biggest but it gives you a plethora of Spanish classics that stay true to their original recipes plus a few new dishes. The buffet is priced at an amazing P795+ for lunch and P850+ for dinner.

Start off like I did with some tapas like calamares, chorizo meatballs, garlic mushrooms, sliced cold cuts and cheese and my personal favorite, tortillas de patatas (potato omelette).

On to the Alba classics like callos and lengua that people have been enjoying for decades.

Your meaty cravings will be satiated with the crisp skin and tasty meat of their famous cochinillo. The serving plate keeps getting replenished so you are never left with nothing. For dinner spread they add another carving for roast beef.

They serve one paella, Paella Valenciana,  during our lunch spread but they add another variant for dinner.

Canonigo is the dessert I always look forward to every time we dine at Alba. Super light and fluffy meringue with caramel then you can opt to add the indulgent factor by adding custard sauce on top. The other other sweet treats but this is my one and only choice.

Alba Ristorante Espanol’s buffet spread is my pick for the best value buffet in the city. Not the biggest but their spread is overflowing with quality dishes done the right way. They also have a wide menu of ala carte dishes as well as tapas to go with a relaxing glass of wine.
