Baskin Robbins Philippines is finally reopening, with the first branch at Central Square in BGC. Central Square is beside food centric BGC High Street Central, and also house the new BGC cinemas including the amusement park like 4DX movie theater.

I was so sad when they closed shop owing to being ahead of its time.  that whenever we visit another country during our travels, we never pass up the chance to have a scoop or two or three of Baskin Robbins. I think we ate Baskin Robbins every day when we went to Malaysia a number of years ago.

I have fond memories of childhood filled with scoops of Baskin Robbins ice cream from their store in SM Megamall. My brother and I looked forward to our birthdays because it meant we were getting a Baskin Robbins ice cream cake. I remember that 9″ round ice creak cake topped with clowns, I think I’ll surprise Lauren with this one during her birthday. I remember having that cake for my birthday eons ago.

I had my first taste of Baskin Robbins in the Philippines when they sent over 4 pints a couple of weeks ago. I enjoyed the Very Berry Strawberry and the Jamocha Almond Fudge. having 4 flavors to choose from is nice but can’t compare to having 31 Baskin Robbins flavors in front of you. I’m liking what they did to update their logo, the 31 is hidden in plain sight, in between the “B and R”, really cool.

This time around, I had a scoop of  Macadamia Nuts N’ Cream plus a scoop of Jamocha in a waffle bowl and topped with pineapples and whipped cream.

Baskin Robbins Philippines BGC Central Square A Taste of California

From July 1 to August 30, 2014, Baskin Robbins Philippines will be featuring three new ice cream concoctions that forms their “A Taste of California” celebration.

  • Twist Sundaes – your classic sundae is literally turned upside down with the topping resting on the bottom while the ice cream plays the topping part.
  • Flavor Wave – you get a choice of 5 (1oz.) scoops of ice cream, perfect if you love lots of variety.
  • Shake Mixology – let your creativity flow as you get to choose two instead of the usual one flavor of ice cream to put in your milkshake.
