Beijing Hand Pulled Noodles

July 22, 2010 by Richard

  *This place is now closed*
This place is memorable since its the birthplace of “the club”, our little own group of foodies. I admit the first time I ate here, I was not too thrilled with my order but the company made up for it.
So we gave it another try, this time I tried ordering something else. I decided on Seafood Chow Mien,  a delightful medley of different seafood like squid, shrimp and fish cooked with tomatoes and white onions producing a sweet tarty taste.

Irene picked Braised Chicken Noodle Soup, and she was really happy about her order.

The chef hand pulls all the noodles they serve as you order them, hence the name. The noodles have a chewy consistency that we love, and the uneven thickness because of the procedure. Its a shame they don’t have the wonderful lamb dumplings int heir menu anymore.

I can’t wait to go back and try other items I’ve spied on the menu.

*This restaurant has unfortunately closed its doors.

Rich, have you tried Lan Zhou La Mien along Masangkay (in front of Metropolitan Hospital)? Panalo at P90 a dish. Not as hygienic as Beijing but I guess that adds to the authenticity :)
