Breakfast at Italianni’s Restaurant

I’m sure you are as surprised as I was when I found out Italliani’s served breakfast but only in two branches, Greenbelt 2 and Bonifacio High Street. They serve breakfast from 7am to 10:30 am daily. I got to try some of their new Breakfast Creations by Chef Josh Boutwood as well as our picks from their current menu. Looking through the menu I was surprised to find a mix of classics like eggs benedict and Filipino favorites like tapa and arroz caldo. All their breakfast items are served with a cup of tea or coffee.

I had the Homemade Corned Beef Brisket with Potato Omelet (P295). Thick potato omelet reminiscent of frittata with thick sliced corned beef on top. The corned beef was tender with a nice briny taste.

Other new creations you can order are the Prosciutto Ham, Soft Eggs and Asparagus (P275). Each component is daintily assembled, it would be a shame to dig in.

Irene had the Arroz Caldo Supreme (P195). A big bowl of rice porridge topped with roasted chicken, boiled eggs, spring onion, garlic and crispy spinach. Flavorful and comforting.

The Primera Tapa (P395) is one of Italianni’s all time breakfast best seller. Thin sliced of tapa on one side with scrambled egg topped garlic rice in the middle and some fruits for a complete and filling breakfast. The serving is so generous, it can readily be shared by two.

The Crispy Panchetta Bacon (P375) was the surprise dish of the meal. Crispy back bacon with garlic rice and sunny side eggs. Crunchy and salty, it played the perfect foil to the garlic rice. Cut it into pieces then mix it up with the rice and eggs for a messy but enjoyable meal.

They also have a trio of new pancakes, Banana Walnut (P275), Classic Blueberry (P275) and Chocolate Orange (P275). My favorite, which came as no surprise to Irene, was the Chocolate Orange.
