Buffalo Wild Wings (B-Dubs) is the first Asian branch of the popular American sports bar chain. The initial branch is located in a beautifully situated site at Estancia Mall in Capitol Commons, Pasig.
You know you are in for some fun when these are the people that greets you at the door. They have ample seating inside and also al fresco for those who want to indulge in their smokes.
Once you get your bearings and settle down in your seats, you’ll be amazed that every where you looks there’s a tv. They’ve got 36 50″ tv screens and a gigantic 80″ one by the bar because their 100″ one is still on order. This is the place to be to watch sports events with like minded people who will be cheering and jeering.
Start off your meal with the everything for everyone, Tablegating Sampler (P725). The plate contains wings with your choice of sauce or rub, soft pretzels (order extra caramel sauce), warm pita chips with spinach dip, and bacon, cheddar and mozzarella stupped jalapeno poppers.
Buffalo Wild Wings offers 13 different sauces and 5 dry rubs for their Traditional Wings ranging from smiling to screaming.
Traditional Wings Sizes: You can choose 1 extra sauce for every 5 pieces you order, so for large groups it would be more economical to get the large and get 4 sauces/rubs of your choice.
- Snack (at least 5 pcs.) – P295
- Small (at least 10 pcs.) – P495
- Medium (at least 15 pcs.) – P695
- Large (at least 20 pcs.) – P895
Here are my Top 3 favorites from the 7 I was able to try with Asian Zing the spiciest I could tolerate.
The Medium is the quintessential Buffalo Wings sauce, a bit sweet, savory and packs a comfortable level of spiciness. Don’t make the mistake of ordering the Buffalo which is a dry rub a is one rung higher on the spice scale.
Chipotle BBQ. Smoky with a little less heat than the Medium.
Lemon Pepper Wings. These are Irene’s wings of choice, equal parts citrus flavor and black pepper spiciness. I’m a sucker for citrus flavored food so this was good for me also.
The best match for wings are without a doubt beer and at Buffalo Wild Wings they serve it in special glasses that keep it colder and bubblier longer.
If beer is not your thing then you can pick from their own line of margaritas like the Twisted Margarita (P285) or the pretty but deadly Knockout Punch (P255).
Buffalo Wild Wings is a bit more expensive than your usual wings place but it delivers in terms of ambiance and energy. I’ve been there a few times and even Lauren enjoys it there, constantly watching the basketball games and asking me questions. They also lend out tablets with trivia games that pits you against other diners.
