Burger Company has changed a lot since opening last year, from a simple burger house they’ve transformed into a gaming cafe. They started with 20 board games from the owners own collection then they added about 20 more to kick their collection up to 40 with more being added. They still serve the same mouthwatering burgers with a number of new additions featuring BACON. You can play the board games anytime you eat there but they also hold gaming days on Tuesdays where groups of people go there purposely to play games. Burger Company is also an outlet for the Gaming Library.
Burger Company will celebrate their 1st Anniversary with a simple and easy promo this coming August 8-10, 2014. Diners will get 20% their bill if all of them post pics of their food on social networks, so easy right. All of seem to be doing it already, why not get rewarded. I went and checked out all the new dishes, together with a couple of foodie friends.
We started the meal off with their Homemade Bacon Dippers (P165/6 pcs., P250/9 pcs.). Imagine smoky bacon slices dipped in a special batter and fried to a satisfying crisp, then served with gooey cheese sauce. Ok, you can wipe the drool off your face and just get on over there and order these. I still can’t decide if I like it with the cheese sauce or not so I just alternate.
We also tried out their new Homemade Onion Rings (P120/sharing). These are the same onion rings they use in The Volcano.
I can never have a meal at Burger Company without getting the Hawaii Five-O (P215). The Burger Boss‘ rendition of the Aloha Burger but made even better. I just omitted the chipotle aioli sauce.
Irene tried the revamped Cajun Chicken and Slaw (P155). A bit messy to eat but really good, with the slaw balancing out the Cajun spices.
We partnered our food with some of their Flavored Sodas (P65). Our pick was the Strawberry, this is basically soda with a dash of flavoring.
Looking for something without bread/carbs then the Slam Jam (P199)is the answer. Two pieces of chicken fillets (fried or grilled) which you can have flavored with your choice of wings sauce. Sandwiched in between are two pieces of bacon, sour cream and cheese sauce. This is what the KFC Double Down wish it could have been.
Next is something a little camouflaged, it looks like a simple charred burger patty but in actuality is a covered by 3 pieces of bacon. This is the Bacon Wrapped Burger (P229), they made a little boo boo here because they forgot to stuff the cheese inside also. Not one to waste food, we just ate it as is and imagined the taste of oozing cheese.
Here are two products that are offshoots of their Striker’s Burger. The Striker’s Wings (P135/6 pcs.), which are chicken wings covered in cheese sauce and bacon bits. Get some gloves and prepare to get your hands dirty.
The other item is from their secret menu, called the Striker’s Chicken Burger. A chicken patty is wrapped with 3 pieces of bacon then fried. It is then placed on top of lettuce and tomato the crowned with two more slices of bacon and mushrooms then slathered with cheese sauce. If you are doing your math right, this here chicken burger has 5 pieces of bacon. I’m still at a loss how you can properly eat this monster but who cares since it’s so good.
Our companion had the Green Chile Burger (P190) which had 1/3 pound Angus beef patty, lettuce, tomato, cheese, ketchup, pickles, onions and green chili. Simple, meaty with a healthy dose of spice.
I’m really amazed at the new creations at Burger Company, there’s bacon everywhere and the perfect time to check them out is when they celebrate their 1st year anniversary this August 8-10, 2014.
