Fireside by Kettle opens their 2nd branch at the Power Plant Mall in Rockwell. It is located in the outdoor restaurant row beside Via Mare and is much smaller than the Megamall branch. They’ve added a couple of tables outside which was quite cool and should be even better for dinner service.
We started with our favorite Sweet, Spicy, Salty Wings (P249/ 3pcs.). One of our favorite wings, sticky and well coated with the sauce so you get all the sweet, salty and a dash of spicy flavor in every bite. This is one dish you have to use your fingers so you can proceed to lick them afterwards.
Their new Lychee and Mixed Berries Shakes (P179) are perfect companions and especially good with the heat of summer.
Lauren went with a make your own meal theme. She got an order of Smoked Mac N Cheese with bacon chunks (P209), Bacon Slab (P149) and Cornbread Donuts (P109/5 pcs.)
Irene got the Southern Fried Chicken Burger (P389). We were taken aback when it was placed on our table, this is one humongous sandwich, not something you can easily take a bit of. The signature crunch is there with a balanced seasoning plus a heap of jalapeno slaw, pickle and chipotle mayo. Best share this between two people.
I got the Fireside Chorizo Burger (P399). 1/3 pound home made chorizo patty with red pepper cream cheese and a fried egg. A bit on the messy side to eat but who cares if it’s good. The chorizo patty is thick and still juicy and finished with a nice crust. The egg just gives everything a creamy sheen.
Fireside gives diners in Rockwell’s Power Plant Mall a new option with their hefty servings perfect for sharing.

Omg, I need to visit Power Plants tomorow, getting so bored at eating here in Makati :( *mouth watering*
Wow, your pics are mouthwatering, Richard! Need to try this resto soon. So hard to be in the North now. Lol
Thanks for the comments about the photos. Their first branch is in Megamall, that’s a bit closer depending on where you pass. You can browse my other Fireside post for more dishes.
