Fireside Launches 2020 Menu

March 2, 2020 by Richard

Fireside has been around for a few years so they felt it was time to welcome the new decade to introduce a number of new dishes.

Meat and Cheese Board (P575). Chorizo, salami , house made honey ricotta brie, manchego, cranberries and baguette chips. Perfect for that after work, kick back and unwind starter. The chorizo is excellent so be sure to start with that one.

The meat and cheese board is perfect with Fireside’s Wine Around The World Promo. The promo features 11 wines from 7 countries and is price at P799 for 3 hours of unlimited servings, available anytime of the day. They also have a little freebie if you complete the “wine passport”.

BBQ Pork Sisig (P185). Fireside does it’s spin on the classic sisig using bbq pork chunks then sauteing them with onions and jalapeno and drizzles of red pepper and green onion coulis. The bbq gives the pork a more aromatic and smoky flavor than the usual while the coulis give it extra creaminess and flavor. Good with a cup of white rice or with a bottle of beer or 2.

Wild Mushroom and Quinoa Salad (P499). A healthy dish needs not taste like cardboard like this excellent salad that packs a lot of textures and flavors. A bed of quinoa and red rice is topped with grilled chicken, sauteed mushroom, mango, peppers, ricotta, eggplant, arugula and finished off with a roasted garlic balsamic dressing.

Roasted Corn Chowder (P165). This creamy corn soup with peppers, potato and celery is meal in itself with the bread bowl. Perfect for those looking for a light lunch.

Chicken BLT (P419). Grilled chicken breast and bacon steak in between grilled bread with aioli, arugula and tomato, served with house potato chips. A mix of healthy and indulgent in a filling package.

Sausage and Mushroom Pizza (P519). Fireside might not be the place you think of if you want a pizza but this is a great choice. A mix of smoked cheese sausage, trio mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, mozzarella and cheddar cheese. The pizza crust is crisp and hold all the ingredients well.

Shrimp and Crab Fat Pasta (P625). Spaghetinni with crab, shrimp, crab fat cream, lemon and ricotta cheese. Looks simple until you get a bite of it and your eyes roll back and you ask yourself what did you just eat because you want more. A perfect blend of creamy richness with good balance of sweet and salty flavors.

Country Fried Steak (P499). US Sirloin steak with Cajun breading and chorizo gravy with a side of mashed potatoes and grilled corn. This is easily one of my favorites from the new menu, crisp breading with a juicy steak inside.

Grilled Chicken (P1125/whole, P605/half). Juicy and flavorful grilled chicken basted with lime and chili garlic, with a side of herb rice and tomato slush. Perfect for diners who want a lighter and healthier choice at Fireside without sacrificing flavor.

Grilled Pork Belly (P419). Lime and chili rubbed pork belly, grilled to a smoky perfection and served with herb rice and tomato slush.

Red Hot Chili Chicken Fingers (P615). Fireside signature chicken fingers gets a spicy upgrade due to insistent customer requests. Chicken fingers coated in spicy buttermilk then drizzled with a hot and sweet sauce and served with cornbread doughnuts. I tried about half a piece of the chicken finger and found it to be too spicy for me, good thing a healthy mix of gravy and honey tempered the spice for me to finish it.
