I had chanced upon these potato chips called Dirty Potato Chips in one of our trips to Mercato Centrale (part1 and part 2). There were lots of choices there, i think around 5 or 6 flavors in boxes all around a stall. They had some flavor available for trial, I tried the cracked pepper and sea salt variant and loved it.
These chips are really full of flavor and super crunchy. You can really see lots of cracked pepper in every potato chip.
Also got another flavor since I could not resist the Mesquite BBQ flavor despite not having a try. As you can see from the pictures, each chip is literally covered in flavor. Each bite of the potato chip is full of sweet smoky goodness that burst in my taste buds.
Dirty Potato Chips boasts of the following
- All Natural
- Cholesterol Free
- Kettle Cooked in a Peanut Oil blend
- Kosher Certified
- Does not contain MSG, artificial flavors and colors
- No preservatives, trans fat, artificial sweeteners and wheat gluten
All the above things sound very good but it all comes down to taste and this gets my taste buds approval anyday. I bought the 2 bags at Mercato for P130 each but found it a week after at my neighborhood supermarket, Pioneer Center for P132 each. I don’t think I’ll purposely go to Mercato to buy unless I’m there for other things.
So if you ever drop by Mercato or can find these wonderful snacks in your supermarket. Try them out and let me know how you like them.

I met the owner by chance kasi I was inquiring about Fisher Peanuts (the BEST honey roasted nuts in town) then they told me to try their dirty potato chips! And we LOVED it!!
These are available in Landmark and Robinson’s Supermarket. They’re distributed by Fly Ace and Clever Cat.
