I got a chance to try out Frankie’s New York Buffalo Wings in City Golf a few weeks ago on a jam packed Friday night together with the Food Club. The place is a nice after work hangout as evidenced by the many office workers that night. They serve a number of different varieties aside from the Buffalo style, as well as some pasta and super cold beer.

I spotted a Foosball table beside us. I’ve actually never played on one, should have tried it out.

We started off with a basket of Nachos (P120) to share among us. The order had pretty generous amount of sour cream and cheese drizzled, on two layers of chips so those getting from the bottom are not forgotten. There’s also a fair amount of minced meat on top.

Wings are P153 for 1/2 dozen and P293 for 1 dozen. You can have your choice of sauce. Here are the variants we tried.

Frankie’s Classic Buffalo
Honey Mustard
Salt and Pepper
Garlic Parmesan

Oriental Special/Frankie’s Special

From all those I tried, my favorite has to be the Oriental Special (used to be called Frankie’s Special), it reminded me of the Taiwanese pepper squid snacks. Its got an unusual taste that one would not normally associate with chicken wings but it keeps drawing you in.

Don’t want to use your hands, then you can order the Boneless Wings with Rice (P183). Choices for the sauces are same as the wings. Reminded me of the one from Bugsy’s, but this one has in more bite sized portions thus easier to eat.

Chicken not your thing, Frankie’s also has burgers called what else but Frankie’s burger (P180), served with a side of french fries. I was not able to try this since I was too full from all the wings.

Want a bit of dessert to cap off your chicken wing-out, Frankie’s has a pretty good New York Cheesecake (P120).

Frankie’s New York Buffalo Wings is a nice after work hang out place. Prices of both food and drinks are reasonable. The only thing they can improve on is a bit too much batter around the chicken wings.
