Hello 5 Vietnamese coffee is a popular brand in Vietnam and is distributed in the Philippines by online seller Bennett and Palmer. The company also sells other carefully curated products like Marou Faiseurs de Chocolat Single Origin Chocolate Bars, Koala Tea, and Le Petite Epicerie Jams. The company is owned by a group of travel buddies who discovered the brand during one of their jaunts, they since a few other well selected products. The unique thing about them is that they are also seeking local Philippine products to introduce to the rest of the world.

Hello 5 Vietnamese Premium Coffee

Bennett and Palmer generously sent over a Hello 5 Premium Vietnamese Coffee gift pack (Deluxe variant) for me to try out. The gift pack includes 250 grams of ground Vietnamese coffee and a phin (traditional Vietnamese coffee filter).

The phin is composed of three parts, the coffee pot, filter press and a cover.

To brew a cup of Vietnamese coffee you have to place the phin on top of the cup.  The phin is quite small so big coffee mugs can not be used.

Put 20 grams of the ground coffee (about 2 teaspoons) inside the coffee pot chamber. Place the metal filter inside a spin it to level the coffee grounds.

Pour 10 ml of hot water and allow it to soak the grounds for 20 seconds. Add 60ml more of hot water after.

You’ll see and smell the aromatic coffee slowly coming out of the circular slots under the phin and into your cup.

Hello 5 Vietnamese Premium Coffee Iced Coffee

I put condensed milk and ice in a glass and poured in the coffee, stirred and enjoyed my cool glass of iced Vietnamese coffee.

The Hello 5 gift pack retails for P500 while the coffee packs costs P350 for 250 grams and come in 5 variants (Original, Deluxe, Mondo, Organic, and Regular)

Marou Single Origin Chocolates

Together with the Hello 5 Vietnamese coffee gift pack, they also included a bar of Marou Faiser de Chocolat 70% Single Origin Dark Chocolate (P400/100 gram bar). I have to say the packaging is gorgeous gold and blue patterns. I gave the chocolate a little try, it was good but too dark for my tastes.
