Jet 7 Bistro

July 9, 2014 by Richard

Jet 7 Bistro and Steakhouse Quezon City 01

Jet 7 Bistro is a fairly new restaurant in the Timog area that specializes in steak and Dungeness crabs. They opened last March 2014 and have been gaining popularity in the area for their food as well as a venue for corporate events.

The restaurant features a red and black motif from the logo to the interiors.

Jet 7 Bistro and Steakhouse Chef Chris Cordero and Bobby Ignacio

Chef Chris Cordero and Sous Chef Bobby Ignacio are the ones manning the kitchen. Both chefs were trained in the United States and have applied all their years of experience into crafting the menu.

Jet 7 Bistro and Steakhouse Ceviche

Our tasting meal started with Ceviche, served on a spoon, paired with wine.

Jet 7 Bistro and Steakhouse Complimentary Bread Rolls

A platter of complimentary Bread rolls followed. The herbed bread were tasty and you could spruce it up by adding olive oil, roasted garlic or the usual butter.

Jet 7 Bistro and Steakhouse Herb Roasted Chicken BBQ Beef Rib

Next dish was a sampler of their Herb Roasted Chicken (P395) and BBQ Beef Ribs (P800). It’s complemented with rice pilaf, sauteed vegetables and coleslaw. The chicken had a nice citrus flavor all over the skin as well as tasty meat inside because of the herb stuffing. The ribs were soft and smoky with a lovely sweet and tangy bbq sauce.

Jet 7 Bistro and Steakhouse French Cut Rib Eye Steak

The main event was the French Cut Rib Eye (P3800). This steak is a 28 ox. USDA Angus steak, sometimes known as a “Cowboy Steak“, cooked to perfection.  It looks similar to a Tomahawk steak but the bone is much shorter but the flavor the bone imparts is still there.

A great piece of meat requires simple cooking methods done right. The chefs sear it with salt and pepper and then finish it off in the oven depending on the doneness requested. It would be a travesty if anyone requests this to be cooked well done or smothers it in steak sauce.  It’s tender and beefy with bits of fat in between to add even more flavor.

Jet 7 Bistro and Steakhouse Luigi Nunez

Jet 7 Bistro and Steakhouse also announced their new Brand Ambassador, Mr. Luigi Nunez, CEO of Beer Below Zero, who agreed to because he adored the French Cut Rib Eye Steak. Jet 7 Bistro also shared that they will be opening a 2nd branch in Bonifacio Global City which will be open by December 2014 or early 2015.

Jet 7 Bistro and Steakhouse Strawberry Sabayon

Finally, we had a Strawberry Sabayon for dessert. The chefs added a little bit of whimsy by way of the chocolate crunch stick.
