I had fond memories when the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoons first came out in the late 80s. My brother was so crazy about the TMNT/Ninja Turtles that he had all the action figures (Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, Donatello and Splinter) and even their vehicles and of course the villains. His bed was even decked out in Ninja Turtles.
A few days ago, I saw this poster on my Facebook page about Ninja Turtles donuts from Krispy Kreme Philippines. I knew I had to get some, they were out of this world pretty.
I did not even know they were coming out with a new movie until then. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot will be live action and is produced by Michael Bay and stars Megan Fox as April O’Neil.
Krispy Kreme Philippines then sent over a box of donuts with the four titular Ninja Turtles inside them as well as Lauren’s favorite glazed donuts.
I actually thought the Krispy Kreme Ninja Turtles donuts would be super sweet because of the green frosting on top. Just one bite and the notion is banished away, it was barely sweet at all. I later found out these used a green apple flavored white chocolate. I just go to Krispy Kreme for the glazed and rarely get any of the complicated donuts so the white chocolate was a surprise for me, it was way better than the one J.Co uses.
The Krispy Kreme Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles donuts retail for P45 each and P395 a dozen, same price as their assorted varieties. Krispy Kreme started selling these limited donuts last August 4, 2014. I’m just not sure until when they will be available so be sure to get your hands on them.
