You know that time of the day when your stomach starts rumbling and you instantly know it is merienda time even without looking at the clock. You are craving for something filling and delicious to get you through the day and itty-bitty crackers just won’t do.

Mang Inasal Palabok

I recently found out that Mang Inasal serves a mean palabok during merienda time. Palabok is a common Filipino dish but not all are created equal with many having bad sauces that ruin it altogether. A palabok is nothing without a great sauce to coat all the rice noodles and make it a satisfying experience.

The Mang Inasal Palabok is filled with generous amounts of shrimps and crunchy chicharon for lots of flavor and textures. Squeeze the calamansi to give it a citrus kick.

When the afternoon hunger pangs strike, be sure to head on over to Mang Inasal and taste their palabok.
