Meet Fresh is a specialty dessert store from Taiwan serving a wide range of desserts. It may sound like it serves steak when you hear it but it’s really a wonderland for traditional desserts especially the taro balls.

I tried the Tofu Pudding (P220) with red bean and added Taro Balls (P40). The tofu pudding was silky and flavorful but portion was too small that it felt like they were floating in the syrup. The red beans were hard and would probably be better if they were cooked more. The Taro balls were of course wonderful, qq texture to the max.

Wintermelon Tea with Mini Taro Balls (P130). It’s all taro balls for me, this time the mini one, still QQ despite the smaller size. This is a refreshing and fun to drink.

Q Mochi Milk Shaved Ice(P320). An impressive dessert that’s good to share with 2-3 people. This is a bowl filled with QQ, elongated q mochi, mini taro balls, wintermelon, sweet potato balls with ice cream topped shaved ice drizzled with milk and caramel.

Sesame Mochi with Mung Bean Cakes (P190). The sesame mochi were very good but I’d pass on the mung bean cakes, they are not my thing.

I’ve eaten a few more times at Meet Fresh since this visit and have ordered the Signature Ice Grass Jelly (P220) every time. It’s not your ordinary shaved ice dessert as the ice they use is made from grass jelly also. The ice is then topped with a couple of scoops of grass jelly, taro balls and a special milk cream. We of course added an extra serving of taro balls because one can never have enough.
