MoMo Cafe is one of Lauren’s favorite in Eastwood, she loves their large breakfast plates. I got a chance to try more of their dishes at the Ayala Triangle Gardens branch. It seems a bit smaller inside but the garden view more than makes up for it.
Cheese Pimiento with bread, their complimentary appetizer was served while waiting for our lunch dishes.
We started off with Beef Tapa & Garlic Pork Cheese Fries (P225). These cheese fries might look like the usual stuff but upon closer inspection you’ll see the bits of bits of beef tapa and pork belly that makes this one a sure fire hit. I’m definitely putting this on my repeat order list for Momo Cafe. I wonder how I could have missed this one before.
I washed the appetizer down with their Lychee and Melon frappe (P120). A combination of my two favorite fruits makes for a cold and refreshing beverage.
While enjoying the food, I could not help glancing out the at the lush greenery of the Ayala Triangle Gardens. I can understand why the restaurant was filled with business workers looking to get a respite from their offices cubicles.
Next up, Super Pepperoni Pizza (P395). How can you go wrong with pepperoni, mozzarella cheese and tomato ragout. Each slice of the 12″ thin crust pizza is teeming with pepperoni, as you can see from the photo.
The last entree was the Slow Roasted Herb Beef Fingers (P495). This came in a big plate complete with corn cobs and onion rings. The beef fingers were fork tender and packed loads of meaty flavor, with the roasting adding its touch of smokiness.
Deep Fried Oreo and Cornflakes (P175). I found the breading a bit too thick even more so with the added cornflakes.
MoMo Cafe has big servings, nice service and their brand of comfort dishes. So if you are looking for a nice meal away from the mall crowds then their Ayala Triangle Gardens branch is your bet. After the meal you can even go walk around and enjoy the vegetation.
