Circles Event Cafe is celebrating Makati Shangri-La’s 25th year by dropping their buffet price to P1,250 only for both lunch and dinner until July 31, 2018. No need to buy vouchers or go thru any hoops to avail, just reserve a table and enjoy.
I always start my meals with a plate of sushi and sashimi. Circles has some excellent rolls, classic and more experimental. Tuna and Salmon sashimi are also a must.
The cold seafood section has a lot of good offerings including their Sustainable Seafood line.
The salad station goes beyond the usual and is a continuation of their Rooted in Nature program. Fresh salads, intriguing options like the Duck Confit Salad above as well as freshly tossed salads in a wheel of cheese.
Their charcuterie station is not the widest but it contains a good range of choices to pair with your favorite cheeses.
There’s a section devoted to certified halal dishes, so their Muslim diners can partake.
The Indian station features made to order naan bread, I highly recommend the butter naan, scoop some curry and dip away. The samosa are also very good.
The Chinese station has the usual dimsum and roasting options plus noodle soup offering of the day. The biggest surprise is balut, hidden among the dimsum baskets.
Want to quench your thirst with some interesting choices then you might like to add P250 for unlimited servings of their Mocktails.
The carving highlight was a US Striploin which you can pair with Yorkshire pudding and a drizzle of gravy.
One of the interesting finds in the main dishes section was the Teriyaki Chicken. Chicken breasts cooked in a sweet savory sauce that is best paired with rice.
Cap off your meal with a visit to their extensive dessert station and select from a wide array of cake and pastries.
If you want something cooler then their diy halo halo station or the tubs of home made ice cream should easily be your choice.
