The Peninsula Manila Thinks Pink

It’s October once again and it means its Breast Cancer Awareness month. The Peninsula Manila is doing their bit with a French flair to commemorate the opening of the Peninsula Paris. This year’s goal is to raise P6M that will go to improving and upgrading the facilities of East Avenue Medical Center’s Breast Care Center and the Philippine Foundation for Breast Care, Inc.

Pink Ribbons are placed all over the iconic fountain of The Peninsula Manila at the corner of Ayala and Makati Avenues.

Giant pink bows at the foot of their grand staircases as well as pretty pink flower arrangement give the lobby a bright and cheery hue.

All employees will be wearing the special “Peninsula in Pink” ribbon pin throughout the whole month of October. You can get the pin for a donation of only P250 net, with a percentage going to the Philippine Foundation for Breast Care, Inc.

The Lobby will feature the “Peninsula en Rose” afternoon tea set on a three tiered silver server for P1,190 or a French style buffet for P1,550.

The Peninsula Boutique will offer pink French pastries like Strawberry-rhubarb Crumble, Berry Mirliton, Pink Opera, Raspberry Pots de Crème, Red Velvet Cupcakes with Pink Frosting, Cherry Profiteroles, White Chocolate Mousse with Pink Berry Splash and Cranberry Scones.

All restaurant outlets will be serving a special French-themed pink dessert called the Savarin Rose Sensation, a dainty cake with rose crème chantilly and white chocolate, for P540.

All the restaurant will also offer a pink cocktail called Chambord Pink-Tini priced at P600, including a “Peninsula in Pink” ribbon pin, and at P400 without the pin. For every pink cocktail sold.

Specially designed “Peninsula in Pink” toiletry bags with Oscar de la Renta amenities will be offered to guests as room amenities whenever they book a“Pink Staycation” package. Room rates start at P10,000 of which $10 will be donated, valid from October 1 to 31, 2014. The room package is inclusive of buffet breakfast for two at Escolta, complimentary “Peninsula en Rose” Afternoon Tea for two at The Lobby and 15% off at Franck Provost salon.
