During one of Irene’s trips to S&R Fort branch, she spotted some Starbucks ice cream in the freezer section. She immediately called me up asking if I wanted some and which flavor I liked. I had previously seen advertising for them in People magazine. She told me there were two flavors, Vanilla Bean Frapuccino and Mocha Frappucino, priced at P289 per pint. I told her to get both since my daughter loves Vanilla and we both love Mocha.

The packaging is very nice, the pint looks like a Starbucks coffee cup including the boxes on the sides where the barista makes the marks for customization.
I first tried the Vanilla bean and found it very creamy and you could see the vanilla seeds in the ice cream. The color is also a yellowish hue, a hallmark of good vanilla ice cream and not like the fake white stuff of some brands.

I next tried the Mocha Frappuccino flavor and I had to restrain myself with this lest I finish the whole pint. This was the best Mocha ice cream I had ever tasted. Irene and I were passing this pint back and forth and before we realized it consumed almost half of the pint in a few minutes.

I don’t know if this is available in other S&R branches but I suggest all ice cream lovers to get a pint and try these high quality ice cream.

    canDIshhh,

Glad you liked it. Cheaper than HD too. We still have an uneaten pint in the freezer, started eating the mocha one earlier.

    grumpyurbanslacker,

So far, I have not seen it in other supermarkets but I could be wrong. Maybe some of my other readers could chime in.

    @ Anonymous,
Did not see that yet. Bought a Java Chip pint during the last S&R sale. Heard that they are phasing it out but I think this is available in Rustan’s Supermarket also.
