Stevies X Costa Brava

July 1, 2010 by Richard

It’s been a challenge scheduling a food club meeting with everyone’s hectic schedules. What started out as an innocent plurk asking Carlos for photo tips turned into a shoot and eat meeting for a handful of us at my place. Carlos; Jane and Chris; me and Irene; Trixie; and our friend Grace. Trixie was not able to make it as she’s been sick for a couple of days already.   n the menu was Stevie’s Hainanese Chicken Rice (HCR) and Costa Brava Caramel cake. Both of these were suggested my yours truly since I’ve been hankering for them as well as both being located in Bel Air made it easy for me to pick them up at the same time.

Carlos brought his many implements for the shoot while Jane brought colorful plates. We were supposed to shoot first before eating but hunger got the best of us especially with the HCR’s smell wafting thru my house.

Jane brought some wine to pair with dessert. Irene served some coffee as well as a different bottle of wine from her stash.

A wonderful meal with great friends full of stories as well as plans to eat some more.
