During our staycation in Bellevue Manila last April, we were invited to try out the Sunday brunch at Caviar Restaurant and Champagne Bar. Caviar of course specializes in what else but caviar, with many different kinds from the affordable to the extravagant variants which requires advance ordering.
The place is beautiful with decor and feel to rival many hotel fine dining outlets. Crisp white tablecloths set against plush chairs plus some interesting decor on the walls.
Want more privacy, then their function room will be perfect venue for group gatherings.
They even have a pseudo living room area complete with faux fireplace and center table filled with reading material.
We started our brunch with a selection of their in house bread. The brunch is priced at P950 for adults but they have a promotional price of P750, while child rate is at P610. The food is served family style for a minimum of 4 people.
Caviar House Salad. Smoked Tomatoes, Double Smoked Bacon, Italian Sausage, Greens and a Poached egg drizzled with Hollandaise sauce. This is actually more meat than a salad, with the greens playing a supporting role only as you can see from the plate. They also made the poached egg perfectly, look at the beautiful yolk flowing down.
Charcuterie with Vegetable Sticks and Cheese Sauce. The board had a selection made up of Prosciutto, Smoked Salmon and Breosola. Don’t forget the vegetable sticks since getting them is an excuse to smother them in the cheese sauce.
Granola with Fresh Fruits. This was the revelation for Irene and me, we never ate granola before, feeling it was too cardboard looking. The put in the granola, scoop some Greek Yogurt on top and finish it off with some fresh fruits. The fruits add a little sweetness to counter the tangy taste of the yogurt while the granola gives it a nice crunch. I really enjoyed this and have since added muesli/Greek yogurt to our breakfast list.
Dutch Crepe with Cherry Sauce and Bread Pudding.
Aside from the caviar that they bring in from different countries, they also have other interesting things that they fly in like these Canadian lobsters.
The Sunday Brunch is a nice trial of what Caviar Restaurant and Champagne Bar can offer but it is their well curated main dishes that I have heard lots of good things about. The place is beautiful, service staff is attentive and knowledgeable.
