The House of Wagyu is starting Christmas a little early this year with their Great Steak Chef contest starting on June 15, 2015. Each House of Wagyu branch will be giving out a complete Wagyu steak dinner for 2 worth over P10,000. To join you just need to make a creative 15 sec video for Instagram and a 30 sec video for Facebook of your dining companion cooking a House of Wagyu steak (any price point) on the stone grill.
I got a little preview of what the prize will be and it was awesome. It’s two of everything below except the wine, which is shared.
You start off with their Soup of the Day. The one I had was Cream of Pea.
Next course is their signature Caesar Salad.
A bottle of Trapiche Broquel Malbec to go perfectly with your dinner is also included in the prize.
The highlight of the dinner is nothing short of beef heaven. A 220 gram piece of Grade 8 Rib Eye Australian Wagyu, with mashed potatoes and veggies on the side.
I recently had the SAGA Grade 11 at House of Wagyu and I enjoyed this one more because of the stronger beef flavor. The Australian wagyu is a bit less tender but makes up for it with more aggressive flavors. The beef is just seasoned with salt and pepper to allow the natural flavors to shine. You get to be the chef and cook your steak your way, listen as your steak sizzles and sears on their signature hot stone plate.
Finish off with a slice of their Classic Cheesecake with assorted berries.
The contest will run from June 15, 2015 to August 15, 2015. Be sure tofollow all the instructions plus fill up the joining form correctly so your entry will be counted.
