My daughter’s all time favorite Japanese dish is tempura but she did not like prawns until a few years ago. Her first experience was when a cousin offered her breaded shrimp at a “paluto” place. Ever since then, tempura has been her default order from small to large Japanese restaurants including Tokyo Tokyo.
When her order arrives, she’s like a monster eyeing the meal. She arranges her miso soup, rice and prawns then proceeds to devour them in the blink of an eye.
To celebrate the new year with a bang, Tokyo Tokyo is declaring January 7, 2016 as National Tempura Day. They will be offering their tempura at only P25 per piece (regular price is P50). I’d like to say again that this is for 1 day only.
Don’t forget to head on over to a Tokyo Tokyo branch near you for some of that crunchy, juicy prawn tempura. A quick dip adds a coating of a sweet and tasty flavor. Eat quickly to keep the crunch alive.
The National Tempura Day promo is applicable only for Dine-In Prawn Tempura Add-On purchases only. This can be availed in all Tokyo Tokyo branches nationwide. I suggest pairing your meal with their add on prawn tempura (how can you resist for just P25), signature Red Iced Tea, and unlimited rice.
We might just randomly meet each other there so be sure to say hello.
