Wu Xiang House of Chicken

August 5, 2010 by Richard

Tucked away in a side street in San Juan is Wu Xiang, a pseudo branch of Sincerity in Binondo. I don’t know why they did not use the same name but the logo is the same. Mention Sincerity and first thing that come to mind is their fried chicken and it’s the same here. Take out and delivery of the chicken must be brisk as evidenced by the many ready boxes of the shelves here.

We ordered the Fried Chicken, which is cut up in different size pieces that you never know what part it is you get. The skin was crispy and coated well with their spices, it was good but it seems to be a little overcooked for me.

My daughter likes soup with her meal so we ordered a Fishball soup, whats different with their fishball is the surprise meat inside.

We also ordered Kikiam, but I’m the only one that eats this. It’s served with their signature spiced sauce and pickled vegetables. The skins is very crispy yet the inside is very meaty with only a few fatty parts that enhance the flavor. I just remove the fatty pieces since I don’t like how the fat feels in my mouth.

If ever you’re in the area, give the chicken a try and maybe you’ll forget about KFC and Jollibee. There are only a couple of parking spaces in front so be forewarned.
